About Gray/Mott:
The Gray/Mott Youth Scholarship was established in 1989 by the LTPOA. This educational scholarship is offered annually to assist current graduating high school seniors with continuing their education at an accredited post-secondary institution of their choice. The scholarship was named after two very special men in our community, who dedicated their time to volunteer service in London Towne, Mr. Charles Gray and the Mr. Ralph Mott.
Each year LTPOA recognizes two students who have demonstrated excellence in community service work. The original awards were for $250.00 and have been increased to $1000.00 each based on fundraising efforts. The awards are non-renewable grants for the graduating high school senior who will continue his/her education at either a four-year college or university, or a two-year junior or community college, or an accredited trade, technical or business school.
Eligibility: To meet the eligibility requirements, the applicant must:
1. Be a son/daughter of a property owner or bonafide tenant of London Towne;
2. Have demonstrated participation in community project(s);
3. Have satisfactory high school academic achievement with a minimum 2.0 GPA;
4. Provide character recommendations and work related references.
Applications are accepted for the scholarship program from January to April, and must be received by April 15th of the current year to be considered.
